CIMB Thai posts RM38.57mil profit


PETALING JAYA: CIMB Thai Bank PCL, a unit of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, has reported a 44.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) drop in net profit to 348.2 million baht (RM38.57mil) for the first-half of the year on an increase in provisions.

The bank said in a press release that provisions were up 138.5% y-o-y due to the weaker economic environment.
