LPI Q2 net profit swells, pays out 50% more in dividends


PETALING JAYA: LPI Capital Bhd posted a 67.5% jump in its net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2015, mainly due to a gain on disposal of RM39.2mil from the sale of some of its equity investments.

In April and May, Bursa filings showed that the general insurer had sold around 2.5 million shares in Public Bank Bhd (PBB) for between RM18.95 and RM19.14 per share in the open market.
