Shares of AirAsia fall 1.3% after suspension threat to Indonesian unit

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of AirAsia Bhd fell as much as 1.3 percent in early trade on Wednesday after Indonesia threatened to suspend the operating license of its unit there unless the company raised new equity by the end of the month.

PT Indonesia AirAsia, which is 49 percent-owned by AirAsia, was one of 13 airlines listed by Indonesia's transport ministry on Tuesday as having "negative equity". - Reuters
