Challenging year ahead for Malaysian insurance

KUALA LUMPUR: Allianz Malaysia Bhd (AMB) expects this year to be a challenging one for the insurance industry in view of the current economic environment.

“It is still alright. Both our life insurance and general insurance segments are still growing and we are still able to meet obligations in the current economic situation,” chief executive officer Zakri Khir told reporters after the launch of Allianz insurance products for persons with disabilities (PWD).
