AirAsia X upbeat on returning to the black, stops hiring

SEPANG: AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) is optimistic about returning to the black in the second half of the year, following cost-reduction measures as well as turnaround plans at Malaysia Airlines (MAS).

“There are a lot of initiatives to be done. It is challenging, but based on the trend moving forward, we are optimistic,” said AAX group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Kamaruddin Meranun after the company’s AGM here.
