Malakoff posts RM104mil Q1 net profit


Chief executive officer Datuk Seri Syed Faisal Albar(file pic) said the first quarter performance mirrored its positive estimates backed by solid business model and stable cashflow.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malakoff Corp Bhd, the independent power producer which was listed on Bursa Malaysia earlier this month, posted a net profit of RM103.9mil on revenue of RM1.35bil for the first quarter ended March 31.

The company said its latest results reflected the lower financing costs post listing, higher interest income and extra income from Port Dickson power plant (PDP).
