Non-interest income boosts AMMB net earnings


PETALING JAYA: AMMB Holdings Bhd, the country’s fifth largest banking group by assets reported stronger net earnings on higher non-interest income and lower allowances.

AMMB said in a stock exchange filing that net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31 rose about 12% to RM519.22mil, compared with the same quarter a year ago. Revenue for the quarter under review was 9.04% lower at RM2.21bil.
