Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Thursday May 21

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Thursday May 21.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures slipped to the lowest in almost three weeks on Wednesday,
stretching their losses into a fourth session as weakness in comparative markets overseas
dragged, although robust export demand put a floor under prices.
* U.S. soybeans fell to seven-month lows and corn to one-week lows on Wednesday, pressured by
forecasts for nearly ideal growing conditions for the crops next week.
* Oil prices rebounded on Wednesday, with U.S. crude snapping a five-day decline, after another
weekly inventory draw but gains were still limited by a huge supply overhang and concerns about
a stronger dollar.

MARKET NEWS
* The dollar rose and U.S. Treasury yields fell on Wednesday after minutes from the latest
Federal Reserve meeting bolstered expectations that U.S. interest rates will remain near zero
until later in 2015.
