iflix partners Vimond to develop internet TV platform

KUALA LUMPUR: Internet TV service iflix has partnered with Vimond Media Solutions for the development of its Internet TV platform.

In a statement on Thursday, iflix said Vimond will provide a managed service for iflix based on its online video platform, and provide operational expertise.

"Given the wealth of content and cultures in the Southeast Asian market, we needed a strong partner that would seamlessly be able to handle multiple content ingest points and multiple distribution points in several languages and formats.

"We found everything we were looking for in Vimond and are very excited to be working with a true expert in the field that relates to its customers at a peer level and not as a traditional vendor," said iflix CEO Mark Britt.

To support iflix, Vimond will establish a regional operations centre in Kuala Lumpur.
