THE pilot of a solar-energised plane attempting the first, around-the-world flight by an airplane solely powered by the sun has hit out at Indian authorities for what he considered needless delays to him leaving the country.
Delayed for almost a week, Spanish pilot Bertrand Piccard was mad as hell, more so as his plane had been held up in Ahmadabad, in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat.
