KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s FBM KLCI edged higher early Tuesday as sentiment perked up in line with the overnight rebound on Wall Street and key Asian markets, underpinned by gains in Genting Bhd and MISC.
At 9.30am, the KLCI was up 3.94 points or 0.22% to 1,784.48. Turnover was 358.14 million shares valued at RM126.21mil, reflecting the trading interest is focused on lower liners and penny stocks. There were 194 gainers, 155 losers and 237 counters unchanged.
