PETALING JAYA: Domestic demand sustained by private consumption will remain the mainstay of the Malaysian economy this year, Bank Negara said in its 2014 annual report.
The central bank expects steady growth for the economy despite external headwinds and the impact of the upcoming goods and services tax (GST) on household spending.
