Petronas contribution to Treasury will reduce significantly this year and the next

IT was the last press conference by Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas, the out-going Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) president and chief executive officer. However, not many people at the event had expected that Malaysia’s only Fortune 500 company would report a loss of RM7.3bil for the last quarter of 2014 although oil prices had taken a steep plunge.
