DRB-Hicom net profit down 93.6% to RM10mil

The company expects weaker sales for motor vehicles and properties in the fourth quarter of its financial year.

PETALING JAYA: DRB-Hicom Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2014 plunged 93.6% to RM9.5mil from RM147.7mil in the previous corresponding quarter due to automotive promotions and incentives offered towards the end of 2014 as well as a higher tax rate.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the firm said its revenue for the quarter rose to RM3.53bil from RM3.33bil a year ago.
