KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has unveiled its third-generation innnovative crossover, the All New X-Trail.
Director of marketing and product planning Tan Keng Meng said the All New X-Trail was available in two variants for the Malaysian market – the 2.5L 4WD and 2.0L 2WD.
“The All-New X-Trail has won global recognitions, with the most recent being ‘Indonesia Car of the Year 2014’ from Mobil Motor Magazine and Auto Bild Indonesia Magazine, and ‘Car of the Year 2014’ award by China’s mainstream media Automobile Alliance in China,” he said in a statement.
He added that the new model had gathered over 1,300 bookings since its pre-booking registration last December.
Tan said the completely redesigned All-New X-Trail combined Nissan’s acclaimed 4x4 heritage with fresh ideas, premium styling and ground-breaking technologies, making it one of the most advanced crossovers with off-roading capabilities.
He added that the previous generation X-Trails were icons for sport-utility vehicle and crossover fans here, with more than 19,000 units on the road since it was launched in 2003.
The All-New Nissan X-trail, which is locally assembled, boasts ground-breaking active chassis control technology, adopted as world’s first to ensure a smooth, stress-free driving experience.
