PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) is projecting new car sales volume to increase by 2% this year, rising from a record year in 2014 on steady demand.

Total industry volume in 2014 rose 1.6% to 666,465 units. MAA expects this year’s sales to top 680,000 units, but it won’t be an easy ride for auto players.
