KUALA LUMPUR: UOB Asset Management is positive about Malaysian equities as opposed to fixed income and has made an “overweight” call on equities despite the continued uncertainty in oil prices.
The firm, with a total fund size of RM4.71bil under management in its Malaysian branch currently, said there may be opportunities that belie the stock market now in sectors that would benefit from the rout in oil prices.
