KUALA LUMPUR: A slowdown in consumer spending and uncertain external demand in the first half of the year will be a drag on Malaysia’s growth, said Standard Chartered Global Research economists at a media briefing.
Its South-East Asia macro research head Edward Lee expects the economy to still grow at a robust 5.5% in 2015 compared to the forecast of 5.8% for 2014.
