CIMB propels KLCI nearly 11 points higher


At 5pm, the KLCI was up 13.82 points or 0.8% to 1,748.90. Turnover was 1.90 billion shares valued at RM2.12bil. There were 502 gainers, 313 losers and 275 counters unchanged.

CIMB shares jumped 74 sen to RM5.92 and it added 10.89 points to the KLCI. RHB Cap gained seven sen to RM7.80 while MBSB fell 13 sen to RM2.06. The volatile trading would have worried investors especially the contrasting price performances of CIMB and RHB Cap.
