MALAYSIAN advertising expenditure (adex) is expected register a growth spurt in the first half of this year, boosted by aggressive promotions by advertisers ahead of the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) in April.
“I foresee an increase for adex in 2015 because within the first half, advertisers will want to promote aggressively before GST kicks in, on the premise of lower prices,” says PHD Malaysia general manager Jimmy Lim.
