New shareholders emerge in Astro Malaysia Holdings


PETALING JAYA: The completion of the distribution of listed-entity Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s (AMH) shares, previously indirectly owned by Astro Holdings Sdn Bhd (AHSB), to the latter’s shareholders via a dividend-in-specie and the redemption of redeemable preference shares of AHSB have seen several new shareholders surfacing in AMH.

The corporate exercise saw Mohamad Shahrin Merican, Tucson N.V., Harapan Terus Sdn Bhd and Datuk Badri Masri becoming direct shareholders in AMH, respectively holding an 8.88%, 8.11%, 8.88% and 8.88% stake in the listed entity.
