Court rules in favour of Kian Joo in liquidator fee dispute

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here has ruled that Kian Joo Holdings Sdn Bhd pay its liquidator based on work hours done and not by the company’s value, which could save the company some RM10mil.

Judge Abu Bakar Jais dismissed with no order as to costs the application of KPMG Malaysia, which had performed Kian Joo Holdings’ 1996 solvency exercise.
