MSC builds sixth furnace for RM3.5mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Smelting Corp Bhd (MSC) has built its sixth fuel-fired reverberatory furnace at a cost of RM3.5mil, which is expected to add 15% to its overall smelting capacity.

The company said in a statement that its current annual refined tin production was about 35,000 tonnes, representing about 10% of the world production of refined tin.
