Special dividend seen for IJM shareholders

PETALING JAYA: IJM Corp Bhd’s move to dispose of its 100% stake in Jaipur-Mahua Tollway Private Ltd (JMTPL) in India will reduce the company’s gearing and potentially result in a special dividend for shareholders, according to analysts.

Noting the RM188mil gain it was set to make, BIMB Securities Research said shareholders could benefit from a special dividend in financial year 2015 if the deal materialised then.
