Public Bank partners PT Bank Central Asia to expand business

KUALA LUMPUR: Public Bank Bhd and PT Bank Central Asia has partnered to enable the two banks to build deeper business relationship, particularly in cross border banking transactions and services.

In a statement on Monday, Public Bank said the Memorandum of Understanding between Public Bank and Bank Central Asia was officially inked by Public Bank's Datuk Chang Kat Kiam and Dhalia M. Ariotedjo, director of Bank Central Asia.

With the advent of the Asean Economic Community, Asean countries are expected to experience greater mobility of goods, services, investments and people, it said.

"The business collaboration between Public Bank and Bank Central Asia will strengthen the banking services support to the existing and new customers of both banks, not just in Malaysia and Indonesia, but also in countries and locations where both banks have presence of operations," Public Bank said.
