KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI surged almost 12 points up on Tuesday's close supported by last minute gains in DiGi, Axiata and Tenaga, as investors sentiments perked up despite the mixed regional equities.

Nikkei 225 rose 2.18% to 17,344.06
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index fell 1.13% to 23,529.17
Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index fell 0.71% to 2,456.37
Taiwan Stock Exchange Weighted Index fell 0.28% to 8,859.07
Korea Stock Exchange KOSPI Index rose 1.2% to 1,967.01
Straits Times Index STI rose 0.59% to 3,308.14
Crude was unchanged at US$74.64 and Brent fell 22 cents to US$79.09.
Spot gold rose US$12.40 to US$1,197.08.
Crude palm oil rose RM13 to RM2,243.
The ringgit weakened against the dollar at 3.3565 against 3.3470 the previous close.
