LONDON: UK economic growth cooled in the third quarter as headwinds to the recovery from the euro-area slump mounted.
Gross domestic product (GDP) rose 0.7% in the three months through September, compared with 0.9% in the second quarter, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said. That matched the median forecast of 36 economists in a Bloomberg survey. Growth in services, the largest part of the economy, eased to 0.7% from 1.1%.
