Suiwah Q1 earnings down, cautious ahead of GST


KUALA LUMPUR: Suiwah Corporation Bhd’s earnings fell 32.2% to RM2.28mil in the first quarter ended Aug 31, 2014 from RM3.36mil a year ago, impacted by its manufacturing operations, but of greater concern was the Goods and Services Tax (GST) when implemented in April 2015.

It said on Friday its revenue rose 6.5% to RM98.12mil from RM92.12mil from a year ago while earnings per share were 3.98 sen compared with 5.88 sen.
