Dailies likely to get a boost from being zero-rated under GST


PETALING JAYA: Newspapers that are published on a daily basis and have been placed in the zero-rated goods and services tax (GST) list could see a shift in readership compared with weekly newspapers.

This is because weekly newspaper should appear at least four times a week to be eligible for zero-rating and readers might have to pay extra for these newspapers.
