PETALING JAYA: Sales are expected to pick up in the local retail sector in the final quarter of the year, partially driven by a boost in spending by consumers looking to avoid the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Retail Group Malaysia said it expected a growth rate of 6.5% in the final quarter of 2014.
