REVIEW: US equities have posted gains for the second consecutive session, as a strong debut in Alibaba shares offset declines in technology issues.
Despite the firmer Wall Street, Asian equities got off the week on the back foot and skidded, led by the Shanghai Composite Index, slumping a hefty 1.7%, as investors fretted about a slowdown in the world’s second largest economy ahead of the release of a preliminary manufacturing data.
