Steady prospects for Malaysia's economy in second half at 5.3%-5.4%

KUALA LUMPUR: The outlook for the Malaysian economy over the next six months seems steady, with the July leading index up from a year ago.

The expansion in the leading index was largely from the increase in the real imports of basic precious and non-ferrous metal and expected manufacturing sales value.
