Abbott to invest RM192mil in Kulim park

KULIM: Intraocular lenses (IOL) manufacturer, Abbott Medical Optics, is investing US$60mil (RM192mil) for a manufacturing facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP).

Abbott divisional vice-president (global operations) Diane M Beno said the plant, scheduled to start operations in 2015, would produce one million sets of IOL annually.
