Mixed views on FGV’s proposal to buy Asian Plantations

PETALING JAYA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd’s (FGV) proposed acquisition of London-listed Asian Plantations Ltd (APL) for £120mil (RM630mil) has garnered neutral to negative views from analysts.

Some reasoned the deal was deemed negative as FGV was making an expensive purchase of a loss-making company while others opined that the valuation was fair.
