FGV buys Asian Plantations


AFTER the unsuccessful bid to acquire Kulim Bhd’s stake in New Britain Palm Oil Ltd, Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) is reverting back to its plan to acquire Asian Plantations Ltd (APL), an oil palm plantation group listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

Yesterday, FGV announced its proposed acquisition of APL for a total cash consideration of £120mil or about RM628mil.
