KUALA LUMPUR: Businesses should begin to extrapolate the impact of the goods and services tax (GST) to their daily operations in preparation for the new tax system, said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Chua Tee Yong.

He said business leaders needed to move ahead and expand their focus from merely gaining awareness and basic understanding of the GST to more advanced issues and how to smoothen the transition.
