July vehicle sales rise on aggressive campaigns

MAA anticipates August sales volume to be similar to the July levels.

PETALING JAYA: Vehicle sales in Malaysia continued to show growth on a month-on-month and year-to-date basis, according to figures released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) for July this year.

The 2.9% and 3% month-on-month and year-to-date growth rates, respectively, were due to aggressive sales campaigns by industry players and the rush for deliveries in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations.
