Star Publications Q2 earnings up 38% to RM39.08m


KUALA LUMPUR: Star Publications (Malaysia) Bhd's earnings increased by 38% to RM39.08mil in the second quarter ended June 30, 2014 from RM28.33mil a year ago and it rewarded shareholders with 9.0 sen in dividends.

It said on Monday its revenue increased by 9.2% to RM274.52mil due to higher contribution from its print, digital and event segment, compared with RM251.32mil a year ago. Its earnings per share were 5.34 sen compared with 3.87 sen a year ago.
