F&N Q3 earnings down 11.6% on one-off items, Dairies Thailand

KUALA LUMPUR: Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd’s earnings in the third quarter ended June 30, 2014 fell 11.6% year-on-year to RM60.4mil despite an 8.9% increase in revenue to RM971.1mil from RM891.2mil.

This was due, in part, to a goodwill impairment charge of RM5.4mil, as well as an under-performing Dairies Thailand, which saw operating profit declining 28.4% to RM18.2mil from RM25.4mil.
