KUALA LUMPUR: Key Asian markets including Malaysia's skidded on Friday as investors avoided equities following worries about rising geopolitical risks, triggered by the tragedy over the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.
At midday, the FBM KLCI was down 8.4 points or 0.45% to 1,874.74. Turnover was 1,49 billion shares valued at RM1bil. Losers beat gainers 567 to 185 while 286 counters were unchanged.
