Zhulian Q2 profit slides on weak jewellery demand


PETALING JAYA: Costume jewellery maker Zhulian Corp Bhd’s net profit tumbled 78.19% in the second quarter ended May 31 to RM8.27mil from RM37.93mil a year ago, amidst weak demand in its local and overseas markets.

Revenue fell 38.2% to RM65.65mil against RM106.23mil. Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at 1.8 sen versus 8.25 sen in the previous corresponding period.
