KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips started the week firmer on Monday, with the FBM KLCI up nearly 2.5 points, supported by buying of UMW and RHB Capital.
At 9.45am, the FBM KLCI was up 2.42 points to 1,885.57. Turnover was 562.24 million shares valued at RM297.19mil. The broader markets was mixed with 222 advancers, 222 decliners and 260 counters unchanged.
