KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) does not see Puncak Semangat Sdn Bhd as a competitor in the transition to fully digital free-to-air stations in the nation by 2016.

Puncak Semangat is expected to roll out digital terrestial TV (DTT) services in four phases starting January 2015.

TM executive vice-president for new media Jeremy Kung said TM’s premium Internet protocol television (HyppTV), was already digitised and Puncak Semangat’s move to roll out DTT was not seen as a competition. — Bernama
