KLCI ekes out marginal gains


KUALA LUMPUR:  The FBM KLCI eked out marginal gains at midday on Tuesday after hitting a fresh intra-day high of 1,896.01 as analysts expect profit taking to kick in, in tandem with the decline in the global market.

At 12.30pm, the KLCI was up 0.83 of a point to 1,893.33. Turnover was 925.15 million shares valued at RM1.037bil. There were 305 gainers, 395 decliners and 344 counters unchanged.
