IT spending expected to rise this year to RM67.9bil


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s total information technology (IT) spending is expected to grow 11% to reach RM67.9bil this year, more than double the 3% growth expected for the Asia-Pacific region where IT spending is forecast to reach US$746bil, according to global market research firm Gartner.

The Gartner Worldwide IT Spending forecast report indicated that worldwide IT spending was on pace to total US$3.7 trillion in 2014, a 2.1% increase from last year but this growth rate was down from earlier projection of 3.2% growth.
