KUALA LUMPUR: The liberalisation in the Malaysian insurance market will lead to lower motor premium rates as insurers compete to expand their market share, according to AllianceDBS Research.
It said bigger insurers and those backed by banking groups would benefit more, as they took the opportunity to cross sell their products and reduce operational costs by leveraging on economies of scale as well as improving efficiency.
