MAHB wins airport dispute, concession in Maldives valid and binding

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) Ibrahim Nasir airport concession agreement has been declared valid and binding, in a unanimous decision on the arbitration proceeding initiated by the Maldives government and Maldives Airport Co Ltd (MACL).

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the Maldives government and MACL will have to pay GMR Male International Airport Private Ltd (GMIAL) US$4mil (RM12.86mil) by way of costs within 42 days.
