Nam Cheong secures RM270mil OSV contract


Nam Cheong CEO Leong Seng Keat is optimistic of the company's prospects in view of the rising exploration and production spending in the global O&G industry, and the robust demand for its vessels.

KUALA LUMPUR: Singapore-listed Nam Cheong, Malaysia’s largest offshore support vessel (OSV) builder, won a contract to build two accommodation work barges (AWB) worth US$84mil (RM270mil) for Perdana Petroleum Bhd.

The contract includes the option for Perdana, a repeat customer, to purchase two more vessels.
