NEW YORK: A senior official from the US State Department does not see any competition between the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec).
“The TPP will, in fact, complement the Apec and not compete against it. It will open up market access by bringing down tariffs and also address other issues that can be an obstacle to free trade in goods and services,” Robert S. Wang, a senior official for Apec said.
