KUALA LUMPUR: Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) is aiming to sell 90 units of the latest-generation Range Rover Sport this year.

Managing director Syed Mudzhar Syed Ali said the company had received 20 pre-launch bookings for the luxury sports utility vehicle.

“Besides a redesigned interior and exterior, the new Range Rover Sport has been re-engineered to be the quickest and best-handling vehicle from the British carmaker,” he said at the launch here yesterday.

Manufactured in Solihull, Britain, the vehicle is available in three variants – the 3.0-litre SDV6 diesel HSE priced from RM859,888, the 3.0-litre Supercharged Petrol HSE Dynamic (from RM939,888) and the 5.0-litre Supercharged Petrol HSE Dynamic (from RM998,888).

Among the vehicle’s features are eight-speed automatic transmission, air suspension, electric power steering and an intelligent off-road driving system.
